All alarms should include a tamper circuit so that if any part of the alarm is tampered with the alarm will activate. In the case of a Monitored alarm the Alarm Receiving Centre would also be aware of the problem.
Properties with quality alarm systems are far less likely to be broken into than properties without. Monitored alarms also have the added benefit of being able to include smoke detectors which can alert the Alarm Receiving Centre even when the home is empty.
