BUYING THE RIGHT PRODUCT FOR THE JOB

Once you have decided on your DIY project or home improvement, whether it is decorating, fitting a new kitchen or even building your own extension, the next task is purchasing the materials.

Choosing the right material, or product, can be a minefield but nowadays with the ease of the Internet, we can view products online, or order brochures, to help us make that difficult decision.

Once we have made our list of materials for the project, we then need to find the right source and hopefully purchase at very competitive prices.

You have the option of visiting your local DIY store, which although they offer excellent prices and ranges, they do not usually deliver and have minimal stock or no stock on large items.

One of the best sources is a Builders Merchant but for some people this can be a daunting thought. Most people's perception is that they are for builders only and you need to know exactly what you want before you go in.
