Do it Yourself Tips for Winterizing

It's that time of year again when everyone is so busy preparing for Christmas, for instance:-

queing for toys that the manufacturers advertise but fail to make enough of;

Wrapping Great Aunt Doris' night cream (you buy it each year and she gives it to the Church Fete each year).

And so on it goes!!!! But while preparing for Christmas we fail to prepare our homes for the winter. We simply whinge "why me?" when a pipe bursts, the boiler goes on the blink or the roof leaks.

Don?t allow yourself to be one of the thousands of householders who have to rely on emergency plumbers etc. (as seen on house of horrors) that charge you an arm and a leg, shake their heads in dismay and then leave you feeling totally ripped off.

Carry out a few simple checks now (go on and look at the following pages then come back and email our resident Handy Man, Harry at Harry@buildadvice.com with any problems) at least if you discover them now you have time to get a few bona fide contractors in to give you prices and you need not choose the one who will do it the quickest).

You will most probably save enough for those extra few bevvys, you need at this time of year!
